Roth Capital's Nathan Schneiderman offered several possible acquisition targets for Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) in a research note from Monday morning.

  • Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) - For cloud-app vendor space;
  • Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) - For technology related to Microsoft's Dynamics public-sector enterprise resource planning;
  • Qlik Technologies (NASDAQ: QLIK) - For the company's "disruptive" model in the intelligence segment; and,
  • Ultimate Software (NASDAQ: ULTI) - For human resources management, cloud-based payroll.
