UPDATE: Goldman Sachs Initiates Gigamon at Neutral on Market Share Leader Position

In a report published Monday, Goldman Sachs analyst Kent Schofield initiated coverage on Gigamon GIMO with a Neutral rating and $27.00 price target.

In the report, Goldman Sachs noted, “We view Gigamon as a sustainable technology and market share leader in the fast growing Network Visibility Fabric (NVF) market. NVF tools such as Gigamon's connect network analysis tools (e.g. performance management, security, etc.) help direct data center traffic in a more efficient manner. Longer term, we expect that the increased intelligence of Gigamon's solution as well as its strategic placement will provide further opportunity. We balance these positives with a still evolving NVF competitive environment and fair valuation to initiate with a Neutral rating.”

Gigamon closed on Friday at $30.82.
