UPDATE: Stifel Nicolaus Downgrades Roadrunner Transportation Systems to Hold, Removes PT on Fair Valuation

In a report published Tuesday, Stifel Nicolaus analyst David Ross downgraded the rating on Roadrunner Transportation Systems RRTS from Buy to Hold, and removed the $27.00 price target. In the report, Stifel Nicolaus noted, “We are lowering our rating on Roadrunner Transportation Systems to Hold, as we believe the stock is fairly valued at present and would wait for a sell-off or signs of accelerating growth prospects before buying more shares at current levels. Roadrunner management has done an excellent job the past couple of years growing the business both organically and via targeted acquisitions, and we expect that growth plan to continue. Its LTL segment is well positioned to continue grabbing market share from traditional long-haul carriers, while the growth profile of its other two segments is less clear (largely due to the mix of different businesses), although it should be positive.” Roadrunner Transportation Systems closed on Monday at $28.58.
