ISI Group Reiterates Neutral Rating on Hewlett-Packard Company Following Conference Call

In a report published Wednesday, ISI Group analyst Brian Marshall reiterated his Neutral rating on Hewlett-Packard Company HPQ. In the report, Marshall noted, “We hosted a conference call today with HPQ's Bethany Mayer (SVP and GM, Networking) to gather insight on HP Networking (HPN), one of the company's higher growth and most attractive enterprise assets (e.g., 13 consecutive quarters of growth, clear #2 market share position, etc.), in our view. Recall during HPQ's earnings conference call last month (2/21), HPN was singled out as an area of expected strength vs. declines anticipated in most other divisions. In our view, under Ms. Mayer's direction, HPN continues to execute well and is solidly positioned to gain share and intersect networking industry trends (e.g., software-defined networking [SDN], converged infrastructure, etc.).” Hewlett-Packard Company closed on Tuesday at $21.40.
