as the entertainment company brought in a record breaking sophomore weekend results of 100mm+ for the film The Avengers. Wunderlich Securities explained, “This is after a final record tally $207.4mm debut. The 50% hold was also the best ever for a movie opening at more than $120mm in its first weekend. Other records include fastest movie to $300mm and $350mm, and top ten day gross. (It is certain to move past The Dark Knight as the fastest film to reach $400mm).
