In its report, Piper Jaffray writes, “We believe potential Chinese solar import duties are likely a near-term positive for US based solar companies such as FSLR and SPWRA and for Comtec and a near term negative for Chinese stocks TSL, YGE, CSIQ, STP, GCL as well as US based WFR. On Friday, the International Trade Commission (ITC) determines whether the solar anti-dumping case goes forward and if so, could finalize possible duties by 4Q12.”
Companies included in the Piper Jaffray report are: First Solar Inc. FSLR, SunPower Corp. SPWRA, Trina Solar Limited TSL, Yingli Green Energy Hold. YGE, Canadian Solar Inc. CSIQ, Suntech Power Holdings STP, and MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. WFR
