A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures continued to move down today as well, indicating weaker opening of the market. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 10.00 points to 10,261, those on the S&P 500 fell 1 points to 1,078. Meanwhile, Nasdaq 100 futures lost 2.50 points to 1,825. A Peek Into Global Markets Negative sentiments ruled the European markets today, with STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.15% and London’s FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.16%. Most Asian markets ended in the positive territory, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average adding 0.44%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.32% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 1.21%. Broker Recommendation Pritchard Capital is Neutral on Rri Energy, Inc. RRI and has a $4 price target as it believes shares are fully valued. In the report Pritchard Capital writes, "[First Energy Corporation]FE ($35.77-NR) announced it would reduce operations at four small coal-fired power plants in the northern Ohio. FE cited the lower demand for electricity and uncertainty related to proposed new federal environmental regulations. We believe RRI shares are fairly priced due to weakness in longer term natural gas prices and relatively unchanged coal prices." Breaking news
