Rentrak Corporation Reports Q4 Earnings

Shares of Rentrak Corporation RENT are trading lower in the after-hours following the release of the company's Q4 earnings results. Currently, shares are lower by 1.94%, at $22.00; they ended the regular session higher by 1.06%, at $22.43. Rentrak Corporation reported Q4 EPS of ($0.01) on revenues of $24.7 million. Revenues decreased 1.2% year over year. "Rentrak successfully strengthened its market position in fiscal 2011 by providing relevant and innovative database measurement services to an expanding roster of clients throughout the advertising, television and entertainment industries," said Bill Livek, Rentrak's Chief Executive Officer. "Although our fourth quarter results did not meet my expectations, we are making substantial progress against our plan. From the big screen to the small screen, as consumer viewing habits and technology continue to evolve, Rentrak is deploying its unique census-like measurement platform to help the industry recognize increased value." Rentrak Corporation operates in two business divisions: Home Entertainment, and Advanced Media and Information. The company's home entertainment division manages its business operations that deliver units and related rental and sales information for the content to home video specialty stores and other retailers, on a revenue sharing basis.
