Anadigics Offers Power Amplifiers for 3G/4G Applications

Semiconductor manufacturer Anadigics, Inc. ANAD recently unveiled three new power amplifiers (PAs) to boast its credentials as a company with one of the industry's largest portfolio of small-cell PAs with best-in-class performance and integration.

The new products are optimized for 3G and 4G small-cell applications. These include picocells, enterprise-class femtocells, and high-performance customer premises equipment CPE that enable service providers to improve network capacity and data speeds in densely populated areas.

Over the years, Anadigics has continuously expanded its product pipeline by launching differentiated solutions while strengthening its relationships with major OEM (original equipment manufacturers) and chipset partners. The new PAs for multiple platforms are a testament to Anadigics' growing expertise in the rapidly expanding cellular and communications technology market.

Anadigics' small-cell wireless infrastructure PA family offers unmatched performance, integration and power efficiency, and is powered with the company's distinctive InGaP-Plus technology and ground-breaking design architectures. The small-cell PAs provide high throughput data rates with an extensive coverage area.

Coming in compact, highly integrated surface mount packages, the amplifiers facilitate the use of the same PCB (printed circuit board) layout for varying bands and power levels, thus removing the need for complicated external circuitry, and cutting PCB space requirements.

Its WiFi PAs deliver excellent power efficiency, coupled with exceptional linear power gain. The WiFi PAs eliminate the need for an external buffer amplifier as it features an internal digital PA enabled interface. Also, its integrated detector optimizes power control over shifting load conditions.
