DISH Network announces Blockbuster Movie Pass

DISH Network announced Friday the first strategic move it will use with its acquisition of Blockbuster earlier this year, Blockbuster Movie Pass. Blockbuster Movie Pass will offer existing DISH subscribers access to movies and games by mail as well as a streaming movie service available for TV or PC. 

Blockbuster Movie Pass offers over 100,000 movies and 3,000 games by mail and streaming of over 3,000 movies to TV and 4,000 movies to a PC.  In addition, movie pass customers can make unlimited exchanges of DVDs and games at participation Blockbuster stores. Games are available for XBOX, XBOX 360, Playstation2, Playstation3 and Nintendo Wii. 

The service costs an additional $10 per month and is only available to DISH Network customers. DISH will also offer incentives for new customers ranging from three-months free to one-year free Blockbuster Movie Pass for different new package activations.
