The Google Toolbar for Firefox has been discontinued, according to a post on Google's blog. The search giant says that, because recent versions of Firefox include most of the features that the Google Toolbar provided, the product is no longer needed. Therefore, Google has elected to provide support for the toolbar up (and including) Firefox 4. However, Mozilla's Firefox 5 will not include support for the toolbar.
Another reason that likely contributed to this decision is that Google Chrome is obviously the company's top priority, not Firefox. With that being said, many people commenting on the post about this announcement seem to not like the decision very much, as you'd expect.
Have you been using the Google Toolbar on Firefox? Are you not happy with this decision?
