Forex Pros – pros - U.S. stocks were down after the closing bell on Friday.


At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.49%, the S&P 500 index shed 0.70%, while the Nasdaq 100 index declined 0.29%.


Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. non-farm payrolls rose less-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted 18K last month, from 25K in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 54K.


Analysts had expected U.S. non-farm payrolls to rise 89K last month.


Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets closed lower. France’s CAC 40 was down 1.67%; Germany’s DAX shed 0.92%; Britain’s FTSE 100 declined 1.06%; and the EURO STOXX 50 fell 1.91%.
