Forex - USD/JPY up toward the end of U.S. session

Forex Pros – The U.S. Dollar was higher against the Japanese Yen on Thursday after the release of U.S. data on Trade Balance.

USD/JPY was trading at 80.31, up 0.53% at time of writing.

The pair was likely to find support at 79.70, Wednesday’s low, and resistance at 80.42, today’s high.

Earlier in the day, official data showed that The U.S. trade balance fell less-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted -43.7B last month from -46.8B in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from -48.2B.

Analysts had expected U.S. trade balance to fall -48.8B last month.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar was up against the Euro and the British Pound, with EUR/USD shedding 0.53% to hit 1.4507 and GBP/USD falling 0.19% to hit 1.6373.
