Stock Trade Ideas for the Week of April 4

Starting with Avalon Rare Metals AVL, on the daily charts, the present uptrend is getting confirmed as the days go on. Right now, I'm in a Long trade that I entered around $7.12. AVL has made an awesome move today breaking out of a consolidation area and resistance on heavy volume. The major trend is still bullish as we can see on the chart above. Technical chart shows bullish sign with %K line on top of %D line and MACD on top of signal line. Only a close below $8.27 reverses the current uptrend.

AGCO Corporation AGCO stock may be in a consolidation phase following a nice trend. Looks like it will move up again. The technical chart is still showing buy signal with stock trading above 50 day and 200 day moving averages, with MACD on top of 0. Keep an eye for a possible breakout over $56.

Dover Corporation DOV - The technical indicators are displaying good signs. Watching for a breakout soon.

The earlier view that the stock would move to $2.53-$2.64 range is still valid. Banner Corporation BANR is still confined to a narrow range. The stock in today's trading session declined initially and found support around $2.28 level. However, subsequently it recovered and rallied 5 per cent from the session's low. The outlook for the stock appears positive. Only a close below $2.28 would negate the positive outlook. Now let me highlight a few key points on BANR's chart. The RSI is stable but MACD shows signs of a bullish crossover. The Money Flow Index has re-crossed its 50 line suggesting the bulls are looking to take a strong hold on this stock at these levels. With near-term resistance at 2.42 and $2.53, I think there is potential for near-term gain from its current price. Hold with a stop loss at $2.28.
