As you know, Sprint held their “industry first” event today in New York. Together, Sprint CEO, Dan Hesse, and Kyocera's CEO, Tetsuo Kuba announced the first dual screen Android device.
While many were expecting something like a 4G iPhone or a Windows Phone 7 device, we were given this. Both screens together equal 4.7 inches. Seven apps have been “optimized” to run and function on both screens, such as browser, mail, and messaging.
The phone will launch with Android 2.2, and no word on Gingerbread.
It will be available in Spring of 2011 for $199 dollars. [Sprint]
