Consumer Spending Does Not Create Jobs

This is part of the problem in Washington DC. There is no understanding of basic economic theory. According to Rep. John Shadegg, the spending of money does not drive the economy. I have no clue how he came up with that theory. The entire United States economy is based on consumption!
