FMCSA

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is a U.S. Department of Transportation agency established in 2000 to regulate and oversee commercial motor vehicles, including trucks and buses. Its mission is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large vehicles through enforcement of safety regulations, licensing standards, and compliance reviews. The FMCSA also manages programs related to driver qualifications, vehicle inspections, and hours-of-service rules.
