Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has now highlighted the significance of simplifying the immigration process for skilled individuals to enter the U.S.
What Happened: On Monday, Musk responded to Sriram Krishnan's post on X, formerly Twitter, about his latest podcast episode which discussed the challenges faced by skilled immigrants in the U.S.
The episode in question featured Debarghya ‘Deedy’ Das, an investor and former member of the Google Search team, and was hosted by Krishnan and his wife Aarthi Ramamurthy, who is also an entrepreneur.
In the post on X, Krishnan, general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, outlined the topics covered in the episode, including the legal immigration system, current issues, and the political status of Democrats and Republicans.
Musk, in response, stressed the importance of making it easier for talented individuals to immigrate to the U.S. “Very important to make it easy for talented people to immigrate to America!”

Why It Matters: Musk’s latest statement is in line with his previous comments on the U.S. immigration system. In March, the tech mogul expressed his support for legal immigration while raising concerns about the influx of unvetted immigrants.
At the time he said, “I am very much in favor of increased and expedited legal immigration for anyone who is talented, hard-working and honest.”
The tech billionaire has previously also criticized New York City’s pilot program for illegal immigrants, stating that it taxes citizens and gives the money to illegals.
Earlier, in February, Musk warned about the flood of illegals and its impact on the country. He also raised concerns about the U.S. government’s policies on immigration, stating that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11.
"This administration is both importing voters and creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants. It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time."
