Commscope Holding Company Inc (NASDAQ: COMM) finalized its $3 billion acquisition of
TE Connectivity Ltd (NYSE: TEL)'s Telecom, Enterprise and Wireless businesses.3. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL)'s television service is reportedly on hold due to ongoing negotiations with content owners while the negotiation processes may have stalled over the $40 per month pricing.Hall offered his opinion on the news, noting that content owners could charge a "healthy premium" for its content but "would not leave much room" for Apple in the way of profits. In addition, anything above a $40 price point would result in Apple offering a service at an "uncompetitive" price-point.4. Hall sees a "high likelihood" that Apple will introduce a 12.9-inch iPad this fall wit shipment for most of the components starting in early September. The analyst argued that the new iPad could "blur the lines" between an iPad and a laptop.5. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ: BBRY)'s CEO John Chen said that the company's devices need more applications, but the executive "stopped short" of confirming that future handsets will run on a version of Android.
