The U.S. Dollar surged earlier on Friday against the Canadian Dollar on worse than expected Canadian Retail Sales data. Canadian December Retail Sales fell by -2.0% and was below expectations. USD/CAD is trading at 1.2518 up 0.027. Trading has been quite choppy and range-bound for most of afternoon. Market talk about additional easing by the BOC during March or later has been common during Friday's trading session.
