Kelley Blue Book Analyst: 'I Wouldn't Call The Chevrolet Bolt A Tesla Killer'

After General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) unveiled its new Chevrolet Bolt concept car at the North American International Auto Show, Kelley Blue Book Senior Analyst Alec Gutierrez said he loves the thought of a 200-mile ranged electric vehicle for $30,000.

“Stick before tax rebates will be close to $37,000, but this shouldn’t matter since this will likely have a solid lease right out of the gate,” he said.

Gutierrez also said he wouldn’t call it a Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) killer, but said this sets the bar pretty high for the mass-production Tesla Model 3, expected out in 2017.

General Motors wa trading about 0.5 percent higher, while shares of Tesla were roughly 2.69 percent down.
