Citi analysts released a research report on the North American fertilizer complex. The firm's analysts wrote, "We are raising EPS estimates for fertilizer producers to reflect improved demand and higher NPK prices than previously anticipated." In particular, Citi has raised its target multiples for Agrium (NYSE: AGU) and Mosaic (NYSE: MOS), in order "to reflect better visibility on application trends." The analysts also reiterated their BUY rating on AGU shares. Citi has raised its 2010-2012 EPS estimates for AGU and has also raised its target P/E multiple from 13x to 14.5x. The price target for the stock goes from $80 to $91. The firm has raised 2010-2013 EPS estimates on MOS and also raised its target P/E multiple for the stock to 16x. Citi has a Hold rating and $64 price target on MOS.
