This year’s version of the famed Nevada Burning Man event's chaos caused by “rare” rainfall and flooding starting last Friday, Sept. 1, attendees are finally getting out of the muddy mess and heading home.

As extreme weather closed roads and kept vehicles from coming and going until Monday,  revelers are leaving Black Rock City in a somewhat chaotic manner, reportedly clashing among each another during their eight-hour wait to leave.

Death Investigation Underway

In another state of affairs, the identity of the man who died during the festival was made known - Leon Reece, 32, was found unresponsive on Friday. His death investigation is underway yet it is believed to be unrelated to the weather conditions.

Theories and speculations arose during the festival, including an Ebola outbreak which was soon discredited, but added tension to the already strained environment.

Meanwhile, the festival’s traditional ending, the annual burning of the man, took place on Monday evening after being delayed.

Simultaneously, regular Burning Man attendee Tesla’s (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk heaped praise for the event’s “uniqueness” in his platform X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday

“Hard to describe how incredible it is for those who have never been. Best art on Earth,” the magnate said. Musk's claims are consistent with his frequent praise for psychedelic substances. However, his comments generated criticism regarding his lack of timing and empathy for those suffering from the ravages of Hilary.

The Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago on September 27-28 promises not to be a dicey, muddy affair but rather the ideal place to meet the who's who in the industry from investors, CEOs to cannabis advocates and everyone in between including Illinois Gov. JD Pritzker. All information is available on bzcannabis.com
