Republican Congressman George Santos was overheard crediting his significant weight loss to the drug Ozempic at a recent Manhattan gathering, according to a report from Page Six.

The report suggests that Santos announced a weight loss of 92 pounds over eight months thanks to the ‘miracle’ weight loss drug Ozempic, despite concerns from his pharmacist partner. Ozempic, along with other Type 2 diabetes drugs like Wegovy and Mounjaro, have been popularly used for weight loss in Hollywood circles.

At the same event, the embattled Congressman reportedly joked about defeating his political adversary, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), in a “cage match” due to his experience with Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His spokesperson confirmed Santos’ participation in the martial art as a young man.

A spokesperson for Santos declined to comment on the Congressman’s alleged Ozempic use but confirmed his attendance at the party.

Santos, currently facing a 13-count federal indictment for alleged fraud and money laundering, expressed confidence about winning the upcoming election, according to sources at the party.

Despite admitting to falsifying his educational and professional credentials in the past, Santos remains optimistic about his political future and continues to support Donald Trump. His spokesperson stated that Santos frequently receives expressions of support from his constituents.
