United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL) disclosed adding more flights to the Asia-Pacific region to boost its international network.
UAL is set to become the first U.S. airline to launch a direct flight to Manila from the continental U.S. and will be adding more non-stop flights to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
The company plans to start these new flights in October.

With these additional flights, UAL will serve 15 different long-haul international destinations across the Pacific this winter, which is more than all the other U.S. airlines combined.
Moreover, excluding mainland China flights, UAL's transpacific network will be 50% more robust than all other U.S. airlines combined.
In April, UAL set a new milestone with a massive expansion plan for the South Pacific by adding a direct flight to Christchurch, New Zealand.
United plans to add 40% more flights between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand next northern winter, including new non-stop service to Christchurch, new routes from L.A. to Brisbane and Auckland, and more flights from San Francisco to Brisbane and Sydney.
Price Action: UAL shares are up 1.09% at $53.91 at the time of publication on Tuesday.
