It's the ultimate social media faceoff, and it could take Twitter to a whole new level.
Visually
, a brand-new site that's dedicated to revolutionizing the world one infographic at a time, has just launched a brilliant feature –
Twitterize
– that allows you to square off with a friend, celebrity or stranger to see who is cooler, more popular and more sociable on Twitter. The process is quite simple: after signing in with Twitter, enter the user names of the two people you'd like to compare. Alternatively, you can choose to build a solo graphic by clicking the appropriate radio button, or leave one user blank for a random celebrity. Users can quickly customize the look of their Twitterize avatar by choosing from a handful of options (gender, hair color, hair style, eye color, skin tone, and an accessory). When you're done, click “Generate Infographic,” sit back, and wait… …And wait… And… Okay, so the process isn't quick. The site is new, not all of the features are in place (ex: you can't create other kinds of infographics yet), and they are having some technical difficulties, as we
saw this morning
. The results are very impressive. For my first Twitterize, I entered
@LouisBedigian
and
@Hilary_Louise
. Take a look:
