  • Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) shares dropped 25.1 percent to $2.94. Rite Aid Corporation confirmed a finalized asset purchase agreement with rival Walgreens. Walgreens has attempted to acquire the entirety of Rite Aid since 2015, but instead Rite Aid will now sell 2,186 of its stores, related distribution assets and inventory for an all-cash purchase price of $5.175 billion. Walgreens also posted upbeat quarterly earnings.
  • Alio Gold Inc (NYSE:ALO) shares tumbled 17.8 percent to $4.70.
  • Fred's, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRED) shares declined 12.8 percent to $10.75 after after RiteAid and Walgreens announced termination of original divestiture agreement. Fred's confirmed in a press release that all asset purchase agreements has been terminated and it will receive $25 million as reimbursement for expenses associated with the termination.
  • Bellicum Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:BLCM) shares fell 12.3 percent to $11.68.
  • VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSE:VHC) shares dropped 9 percent to $4.55 after surging 3.09 percent on Wednesday.
  • EMCORE Corporation (NASDAQ:EMKR) shares declined 8.3 percent to $10.55. B. Riley downgraded EMCORE from Buy to Neutral.
  • HTG Molecular Diagnostics Inc (NASDAQ:HTGM) shares fell 7.3 percent to $2.82. HTG Molecular Diagnostics disclosed that it has launched its new HTG EdgeSeq PATH Assay.
  • Pier 1 Imports Inc (NYSE:PIR) shares declined 7 percent to $5.01. Pier 1 Imports reported a narrower-than-expected loss for its first quarter, but revenue missed estimates.
  • Akebia Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:AKBA) dropped 6 percent to $14.58. Akebia priced 4 million share offering at $14.50 per share.
  • HB Fuller Co (NYSE:FUL) shares dipped 5.9 percent to $50.51 after the company posted downbeat quarterly earnings.
  • GMS Inc (NYSE:GMS) fell 5.6 percent to $29.75. GMS reported Q4 adjusted earnings of $0.48 per share on revenue of $615 million.
  • Physicians Realty Trust (NYSE:DOC) shares slipped 4.7 percent to $20.36. Physicians Realty Trust reported an offering of 20 million shares of common stock.
