- Axsome Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:AXSM) shares gained 14.1 percent to $4.45 after the company disclosed that it has received Fast Track designation for AXS-05.
- Newell Brands Inc (NYSE:NWL) shares rose 13.1 percent to $52.47 after the company posted upbeat earnings for its first quarter and increased its quarterly dividend to $0.23 per share.
- Finjan Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:FNJN) shares climbed 12.8 percent to $1.94. Finjan Holdings will host a shareholder update call to discuss its Q1 results on May 15, 2017.
- World Acceptance Corp. (NASDAQ:WRLD) rose 11.5 percent to $62.54. World Acceptance is expected to report Q4 results on Tuesday, May 9.

- Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (USA) (NASDAQ:TSEM) gained 8.7 percent to $23.20 after reporting strong quarterly earnings.
- JD.Com Inc(ADR) (NASDAQ:JD) climbed 8.4 percent to $38.80 after the company posted upbeat revenue for its first quarter.
- Alon USA Partners LP (NYSE:ALDW) shares gained 8.3 percent to $9.75 on better-than-expected quarterly profit.
- Kate Spade & Co (NYSE:KATE) shares rose 8.2 percent to $18.35 after Coach Inc (NYSE:COH) announced plans to acquire the company for $18.50 per share.
- Northern Oil & Gas, Inc. (NYSE:NOG) gained 7.7 percent to $2.10 after the company reported upbeat Q1 earnings.
