Market chatter about weather and cash prices is making the rounds. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) monthly cold storage report is scheduled for release Thursday at 3:00 p.m. ET. The agency's cattle of feed report is due out Friday at 3:00 p.m.ET. Monday's USDA cattle slaughter was 102,000 head versus 104,000 head a year ago. U.S. beef production was up 8.8 percent versus a year ago.
