June live cattle is trading at 108.65, up 0.05 cents/lbLive cattle futures are steady just after the open. Market talk about cash prices and weather for animal movements in part of the nation is making the rounds. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Monthly Cold Storage Report is due out at 3:00 p.m. ET. The monthly cattle on feed report is set for release Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET. Monday's USDA cattle slaughter was 115,000 head versus a year ago at 111,000 head.
