February live cattle is trading at 119.75, down 0.50 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 118.50, down 0.47 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 108.40, down 0.30 cents/lbLive cattle futures are trading lower just after the open. Market talk about cash prices, weekend headline news and consumer demand is making the rounds. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Monthly Cold Storage Report is due out Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. ET. Friday's USDA estimated cattle slaughter was 112,000 head and Saturday's was 48,000 head, the total for last week was 569,000 head.
