U.S. stock futures traded mostly higher in early pre-market trade. The Labor Department's JOLTS report for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 15 points to 19,247.00, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index futures gained 0.75 points to 2,210.75. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index rose 1.25 points to 4,788.25.

Oil prices traded lower as Brent crude futures gained 0.13 percent to trade at $54.00 per barrel, while US WTI crude futures also rose 0.22 percent to trade at $51.04 a barrel. The Energy Information Administration’s weekly report on petroleum inventories is schedule for release at 10:30 a.m. ET.

A Peek Into Global Markets

European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.68 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index climbing 0.40 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.46 percent. The UK's FTSE index was trading higher by 1.53 percent, while French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.84 percent.

In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.74 percent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 0.55 percent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.71 percent and India’s BSE Sensex dropped 0.59 percent.


Broker Recommendation

Analysts at JP Morgan upgraded AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) from Neutral to Overweight.

AutoZone shares rose 1.16 percent to $788.89 in pre-market trading.
