December New York Cotton is trading at 70.29, down 0.28 cents/lb. March New York Cotton is trading at 70.61, down 0.28 cents/lb. Cotton futures are trading a little lower Monday morning after Friday's firm trading session. Chatter about global economic growth and global cotton demand is making the rounds. The USDA reported on Friday that cotton export sales for the current marketing year are now 48.6 percent of the agency forecast versus the five year average of 48.4 percent.
