  • Apptio Inc (NASDAQ: APTI) climbed 45.5 percent to $23.28. Apptio priced its IPO at $16 per share.
  • Gridsum Holding Inc. (NASDAQ: GSUM) shares rose 21.2 percent to $15.76. Gridsum priced IPO at $13 per share.

CNBC's David Faber reported Twitter has "received expressions of interest from several technology companies and may receive a formal bid shortly." According to Faber, Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) and salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE: CRM) are among companies that may be interested in acquiring the social media company.
  • Bioline RX Ltd (NASDAQ: BLRX) shares climbed 18.8 percent to $1.20 as the company reported in-licensing of novel treatment for liver failure conditions under strategic collaboration.
  • Endo International plc (NASDAQ: ENDP) shares rose 16.5 percent to $23.61. Endo named Paul Campanelli as President and CEO. The company projects FY16 earnings of $4.50 to $4.80 per share, on revenue of $3.87 billion to $4.03 billion.
  • Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc (NYSE: SC) shares climbed 12.2 percent to $12.17. Santander Consumer disclosed that it will restate financial reports for FY13, FY14 and FY15.
  • Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVAX) shares gained 9.1 percent to $2.35 after surging 10.82 percent on Thursday.
  • BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. (NASDAQ: BDSI) surged 7.8 percent to $2.64. Janney upgraded BioDelivery Sciences from Neutral to Buy.
  • Novatel Wireless Inc (NASDAQ: MIFI) shares gained 7.2 percent to $3.27 as the company reported a deal to sell mobile broadband unit for $50 million.
  • AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR) shares rose 7.1 percent to $31.06 as the company reported upbeat results for its first quarter on Thursday.
  • Yelp Inc (NYSE: YELP) shares rose 5.5 percent to $40.60 as the company reported the conversion of Class A and Class B common shares into a single class of stock.
  • DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ: DRYS) shares rose 5.1 percent to $0.506 after the company disclosed the vessel sale. The company reported that it has sold the 2002 built Panamax drybulk carrier MV Oregon.
