  • FleetMatics Group PLC (NYSE: FLTX) rose 39.3 percent to $59.84 in pre-market trading after Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) announced plans to buy Fleetmatics at $60 per share in cash.
  • Ionis Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: IONS) shares rose 30.6 percent to $38.12 in pre-market trading. Biogen and Ionis Pharmaceuticals reported that Nusinersen has met primary endpoint at interim analysis of Phase 3 ENDEAR Study in infantile-onset spinal muscular atrophy.
  • Caesars Entertainment Corp (NASDAQ: CZR) shares rose 14.5 percent to $7.90 in pre-market trading. A consortium, including an affiliate of Shanghai Giant Network Technology and private equity firm Yunfeng Capital, founded by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE: BABA)’s Chairman Jack Ma, announced Staurday it has entered into a definitive agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment to acquire Playtika for $4.4 billion in cash.
  • Cesca Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: KOOL) shares rose 10.1 percent to $4.60 in pre-market trading after the FDA approved changes to critical limb ischemia trial.
  • Amarin Corporation plc (ADR) (NASDAQ: AMRN) rose 9.1 percent to $2.89 in pre-market trading after surging 10.88 percent on Friday.
  • SCYNEXIS Inc (NASDAQ: SCYX) rose 8.9 percent to $2.20 in pre-market trading after the company reported interim results from Phase 2 study of oral SCY-078 in patients with invasive candidiasis. The company announced that the study met all primary endpoints.
  • Skypeople Fruit Juice Inc (NASDAQ: SPU) rose 8.5 percent to $13.20 in the pre-market trading session after gaining 1.16 percent on Friday.
  • Transocean Partners LLC (NYSE: RIGP) rose 5.8 percent to $11.55 in pre-market trading. Transocean and Transocean Partners revealed Monday they have struck a deal whereby the former would buy all the outstanding units of the latter in a share-for-unit merger transaction. As a result, Transocean Partners would get 1.1427 shares of the company for every unit held.
  • Biogen Inc (NASDAQ: BIIB) rose 3.5 percent to $299.94 in pre-market trading. Biogen and Ionis Pharmaceuticals reported that Nusinersen has met primary endpoint at interim analysis of Phase 3 ENDEAR Study in infantile-onset spinal muscular atrophy.
  • Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ: FTR) shares climbed 2 percent to $5.30. Frontier Communications is expected to post quarterly earnings after the closing bell.

  • SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ: SCTY) shares fell 6 percent to $25.10 in pre-market trading as Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) announced plans to acquire SolarCity for $2.6 billion in stock.
  • Transocean LTD (NYSE: RIG) shares fell 3.7 percent to $10.59 in pre-market trading. Transocean and Transocean Partners LLC revealed Monday they have struck a deal whereby the former would buy all the outstanding units of the latter in a share-for-unit merger transaction.   • Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS) fell 2.4 percent to $87.00 in pre-market trading. Jefferies downgraded Citrix from Hold to Underperform.
