August live cattle is trading at 114.05, up 0.10 cents/lb. October live cattle is trading at 112.92, down 0.12 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 113.75, down 0.15 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading steady just after the open Thursday.Market chatter about consumer demand and cattle supplies ahead is making the rounds. Trading is expected to be very choppy.The USDA reported today that beef weekly export sales for the period ending July 21st totaled 20,700 tonnes. Sales were up 44 percent from the previous week and up 45 percent from the four week average.
