August live cattle is trading at 112.17, up 0.32 cents/lb. October live cattle is trading at 112.37, up 0.15 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 113.32, up 0.05 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading steady to higher just after the open Friday morning Market chatter about consumer demand and cattle production is making the rounds. The USDA reported today that beef weekly export sales for the period ending June 30th totaled 15,400 tonnes. Sales were up six percent from the previous week and up five percent from the four week average.
