- EMCORE Corporation (NASDAQ: EMKR) rose 14 percent to $6.50 in pre-market trading. EMCORE announced a special dividend of $1.50 per share.
- BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ: BMRN) shares rose 9.2 percent to $88.20 in pre-market trading. Roche is said to have renewed interest in BioMarin, Betaville reported.
- Pernix Therapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: PTX) shares rose 5.7 percent to $0.465 in pre-market trading as the company reported restructuring of sales force and operations. Pernix Therapeutics announced plans to reduce workforce by 23 percent
