- Elizabeth Arden, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDEN) shares surged 48.76 percent to $13.85 as Revlon Inc (NYSE: REV) agreed to acquire the company for $14.00 per share in cash, for an enterprise value of around $870 million.
- Southeastern Bank Financial Corp (OTC: SBFC) shares climbed 35.74 percent to $46.56. South State Corporation (NASDAQ: SSB) and Southeastern Bank Financial reported that they have entered into a merger agreement.
- Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE: LL) shares jumped 22 percent to $16.14 following Thursday announcement of agreement with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission regarding laminate flooring products made in China. Lumber Liquidators agreed to not resume sales of laminate wood flooring previously imported from China.
- BioScrip Inc (NASDAQ: BIOS) surged 19.57 percent to $2.47. BioScrip priced its 40 million share offering at $2.00 per share.
- Teekay Offshore Partners L.P. (NYSE: TOO) shares rose 18.68 percent to $5.40. Teekay Offshore reported a $200 million private placement.
- Sky Solar Holdings Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ: SKYS) shares climbed 12.77 percent to $3.62. Sky Solar Holdings reported a loss of $823 thousand or a low of $0.002 per share in the first quarter compared to a net income of $2.6 million or $0.01 per share in the year-ago quarter. Street estimated a loss of $0.06 a share.
- Smith & Wesson Holding Corp (NASDAQ: SWHC) gained 7.63 percent to $23.41 as the company posted upbeat results for its fourth quarter and issued a strong forecast for the year.
- Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR) shares climbed 7.45 percent to $18.89 as the company reported better-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter and issued strong earnings guidance for the current quarter.
- Paratek Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: PRTK) gained 7 percent to $17.57. Paratek reported that Omadacycline has met all primary and secondary efficacy outcomes designated by the FDA and EMA in a Phase 3 study in acute bacterial skin infections
- Lifelock Inc (NYSE: LOCK) shares gained 4 percent to $15.58 as Elliott Associates reported a 5.1 percent stake in LifeLock.
- Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) rose 3 percent to $39.67. Oracle reported stronger-than-expected revenue for its fourth quarter, but missed analysts’ earnings estimates.
