Opower Inc (NYSE: OPWR) rose 24.84 percent to $9.90 in pre-market trading. Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) announced plans to acquire Opower for $10.30 per share in cash.

Apollo Education Group Inc (NASDAQ: APOL) shares rose 12.18 percent to $8.75 in pre-market trading after the company confirmed it has received a revised buyout offer. Apollo Education said a consortium of investors led by the Vistria Group and Apollo Global Management offered to acquire the company for $10.00 per share.

ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ACAD) rose 6.04 percent to $34.25 in pre-market trading following the Friday's FDA approval of NUPLAZID.

Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ: WYNN) shares rose 2.49 percent to $90.50 in pre-market trading. Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau reported a 9.5 percent year-over-year drop in April gross gaming revenue.

Ultra Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: UPL) shares fell 51.63 percent to $0.15 in pre-market trading. Ultra Petroleum has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Reuters reported.

NephroGenex Inc (NASDAQ: NRX) fell 27.08 percent to $0.350 in pre-market trading as the company reported that it has commenced voluntary Chapter 11 proceeding. The company is looking to begin sale process under Section 363.

Paragon Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ: PRGN) shares fell 18.18 percent to $2.16 in pre-market trading following report of a non-timely 20-F filing.

Groupon Inc (NASDAQ: GRPN) shares fell 1.66 percent to $3.56 in pre-market trading after dropping 18.28 percent on Friday. RBC Capital downgraded Groupon from Sector Perform to Underperform.
