We are witnessing another significant move higher in the silver futures market on Friday. COMEX silver futures have surged 2.58% and are currently trading at $29.31. The iShares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) has jumped 2.43% and is currently trading at $28.63. Around a third of the average daily volume in the SLV has already been traded in the first hour and a half. A drop in the Dollar Index after a worse than expected nonfarm payrolls number this morning is putting a strong bid into the precious metals markets.
