Zafgen Inc (NASDAQ: ZFGN) shares rose 13.15 percent to $11.36 in pre-market trading after surging 78.65 percent on Wednesday. FBR Capital upgraded Zafgen from Market Perform to Outperform. RBC Capital upgraded Zafgen from Sector Perform to Outperform.

Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) shares rose 9.56 percent to $47.20 in the pre-market trading session. Xilinx reported in-line earnings for its third quarter, but the company’s revenue exceeded analysts’ estimates.

FireEye Inc (NASDAQ: FEYE) rose 8.61 percent to $16.15 in the pre-market trading session amid news of a new acquisition and a guidance update. According to a press release filed by the company, FireEye has purchased iSight Partners for close to $200 million, a network that monitors and mines global cyber threats.

Logitech International SA (USA) (NASDAQ: LOGI) shares rose 7.66 percent to $14.77 in pre-market trading. Logitech reported upbeat Q3 earnings and increased profitability outlook for FY2016.

ASML Holding NV (ADR) (NASDAQ: ASML) shares rose 2.76 percent to $87.61 in pre-market trading after gaining 6.15 percent on Wednesday.

Losers

Alkermes Plc (NASDAQ: ALKS) shares fell 28.42 percent to $43.25 in pre-market trading following announcement of failed depression drug trial.

Yandex NV (NASDAQ: YNDX) fell 3.39 percent to $11.40 in pre-market trading after declining 1.09 percent on Wednesday.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc (NYSE: FCX) shares fell 1.72 percent to $4.00 in the pre-market trading after gaining 2.65 percent on Wednesday.

United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE: UAL) fell 1.37 percent to $44.50 in the pre-market trading session after the company reported weaker-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter.

GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) shares fell 1.36 percent to $10.85 in pre-market trading after rising 4.07 percent on Wednesday.
