S&P 500 index futures were trading lower by 12 points at 2039.25 in Monday's session. The weakness from pre-market trading continued into the regular session.

All but two of the top 10 components of the index are in the red. The big winner is Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) shares which are trading higher by $7 at $669.79.

The second-biggest loser is the indexes top component, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) shares which are trading lower by $1.34 at $106.69. In the top spot is Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM) shares which are trading lower by $0.88 at $78.45.
