Top gainers in the sector included Cerus Corporation (NASDAQ: CERS), Heska Corp (NASDAQ: HSKA), and Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated (NASDAQ: CORT). In trading on Thursday, energy shares dropped by 0.71 percent. Meanwhile, top losers in the sector included Bill Barrett Corporation (NYSE: BBG), down 12 percent, and Denbury Resources Inc.
