The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for July will be released at 9:00 a.m. ET, while the Conference Board's consumer confidence report for September will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Data on farm prices for September will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 58.5 points to 15,967.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 10 points to 1,882.00. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index surged 23.75 points to 4,118.50.
