Wednesday's USDA Hog slaughter was 423,000 head versus a year ago at 415,000 head. Lean Hog Futures traded choppy on Wednesday , front month hogs were higher and farther out contracts were lower. August Lean Hog futures at last check were trading at 75.05, up 0.67 and October Lean Hogs were trading at 65.55, down 0.45. December Lean Hogs at last check were trading at 63.60, down 0.62. Livestock futures will be closing early on Thursday and will be closed on Friday in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
