Travelzoo Inc. (NASDAQ: TZOO) shares surged 12.35 percent to $11.55 in pre-market trading. TravelZoo reported Q1 earnings of $0.13 per share on revenue of $36.5 million.
Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) gained 11.36 percent to $529.49 in pre-market trading after the company reported strong results for the first quarter. During the quarter, the company added 4.9 million streaming subscribers. FBR Capital upgraded Netflix from Market Perform to Outperform and raised the price target from $400.00 to $900.00.
Panera Bread Co (NASDAQ: PNRA) shares climbed 11.29 percent to $182.42 in pre-market trading after the company authorized $500 million in new debt to buy back shares and said it has "recently engaged in constructive dialogue" with activist hedge fund Luxor Capital Group L.P. The company also said it agreed to sell and refranchise 73 company-owned cafes.
Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE: PM) shares rose 4.29 percent to $81.48 in pre-market trading after the company reported stronger-than-expected earnings for the first quarter.
