Did RetailMeNot Miss Earnings? Or Did They Not?

This is what Nic Chahine averages with his options buys. Not selling covered calls or spreads... BUYING options. Most traders don't even have a winning percentage of 27% buying options. He has an 83% win rate. Here's how he does it.

Shares of RetailMeNot (NASDAQ: SALE) were nosediving following what may be a less than stellar earnings report after the close on Monday. RetailMeNot reported a 16 percent decline in second quarter net income to $0.08 per share, badly missing the $0.17 per share analysts were expecting for the quarter, according to some reports. However, a Goldman Sachs report from Debra Schwartz states that non-GAAP EPS was actually $0.18, which would have been a penny above consensus, with confusion due to GAAP versus non-GAAP comparisons. Revenue came in somewhat light as well at $59.5 million, just short of consensus of $60 million. Shares of RetailMeNot are trading at 19.95 after hours, down 20 percent from the 25.30 close.
