A new version of the Zeus trojan, called Zeus3, has stolen just over $1 million from just over 3,000 accounts worldwide from bank accounts. There is no way to find out if the virus is on your system, so for the time being, consumers are helpless against it writes Crunch Gear, a sub site of Tech Crunch. M86 Security, the group who first discovered the virus says, "We’ve never seen such a sophisticated and dangerous threat. Always check your balance and have a good idea of what it is." To make sure your bank accounts are safe, consumers should automatically keep their antivirus software up to date with the latest releases as eventually the virus will be defeated. Make sure also to never store passwords or logins on your computer or use public computers for banking purposes.
