Bernstein Liebhard LLP has announced that it is investigating the acquisition of Superior Well Services Inc by Nabors Industries Ltd (NYSE: NBR). GeoEye, Inc (NASDAQ: GEOY) shares jumped 21.12% to $39. The volume of CMED shares traded was 784% higher than normal. DigitalGlobe and GeoEye have signed government contracts. Nanometrics Incorporated (NASDAQ: NANO) shares gained 4.95% to $12.94. The volume of NANO shares traded was 344% higher than normal. Nanometrics was downgraded by Oppenheimer recently from “outperform” to “perform.” Amedisys Inc (NASDAQ: AMED) shares moved up 4.40% to $27.97. The volume of AMED shares traded was 234% higher than normal. Amedisys’ earnings for the latest quarter were lower than expected. AMED had also reduced its outlook for 2010. Read more
